DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_RESET crash after first game

I am consistently getting the 0x887A0007 - DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_RESET crash either every game or every other game. It has never happened on my first game after starting up or restarting my PC, only subsequent matches. I am playing the <SPECIAL MODE>, I have not tried standard or ranked modes. I do not get an apex_crash.txt generated when crashing in this way although maybe I'm just not finding it.

I am on Nvidia driver version 442.59 and have tried a clean and reinstall on the driver, and multiple repairs on the game files. I was not having this issue prior to the System Override event update. Before updating my driver I was having the DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG error. After updating I am now getting the DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_RESET error.

    Hey @Col_Creamcheese 

    Do you have overclocked some components?

    If you did, try settings them back to standard clock speed.

    Also, check in your NVIDIA 3D settings if your GPU is set to performance mode.

    If the issue is still popping up.
    Can you try clean booting and make sure you don't launch any GPU tweaking software.
    Sometimes that could be the issue.

    @ekzerolling back to 442.50 appears to have worked, thank you! I guess I was being too optimistic thinking a minor version wouldn't re-break things.
