EA account banned for no reason

Hello, my EA account recently got banned for which I received access as part of my XBOX game pass ultimate membership a few weeks back. Even though I hadn't played any EA game or logged into my EA account, the account was banned for no reason. EA customer service is terrible and just gives an automated reply that the user agreement had been violated. How do you even violate a user agreement without even using the account or playing any game? I see there are many posts about people losing access to their account and which makes me believe there are definitely issues with this company which treats its customers like * and can't provide evidence.

  • I have already tried contacting multiple times using the web form but the only answer I get is that investigation has been done and the decision regarding ban will not be reversed. 

  • same here. dont expect help. either the chat nor by telephone. they just open one case after another and the TOS keeps declining it.

    the "TOS" can do what they want. i dont think they read everything.

    i wrote a letter to EA Germany. i will see if theres any reaction to it.

    this so called "support" is just annoying. as i said the TOS (so called "experts") have nothing to do with the word "expert".

    It's a shame that EA Terms of Service team is so unprofessional and wouldn't bother to provide an evidence of violation even after repeated requests. I really liked to play EA games as a kid but this horrible experience with their customer service has really pushed me to never consider using their games again and wouldn't recommend anyone else to use it either in future. Good luck with EA Germany though. Hope atleast they will have the courtesy to answer you.🙏

  • Same here. My account was banned without ever seeing any gameplay time. Maybe that's the issue...If you don't play, I ban your account. About the ToS team, in my company, if our support team were half that rude or incompetent, they would have been replaced faster than they could say "banned"...

  • I had the same issue a few weeks ago, i got an xbox game pass ultimate subscription and linked it to the EA account, after that i donwloaded dead space and after two days the account got banned, i asked twice by opening a case to tell me what was the violation and they said they cannot tell me the internal procedures, which doesnt make sense, i will try to contact microsoft because there is an issue there and were paying for the ultimate subscription which is more expensive expecting to have access to the EA games available on the game pass app

    Exactly, I saw some more people had the same issue of ban and EA customer service doesn't bother to provide a proper reason to why accounts are being banned even though the games were hardly played once or twice. Maybe it helps to raise the issue with Microsoft. Do let us know in case it works.
