Equalizer APO disabled my in-game mic

I installed Equalizer APO for the better microphone quality.

But then, Apex Legends can't recognize my mic. (speaker icon doesn't appear)

So I think Equalizer APO disabled my in-game mic.

Is there any other solution except uninstalling Equalizer APO?

  • I can confirm Apex doesn't recognize the microphone when you use EqualizerAPO.

You can still have EqualizerAPO installed and use your mic in Apex by checking "Device Properties > Enhancements > Disable all enhancements", but that means you are not using EqualizerAPO of course. You can enable it back to use it in other programs.

Apex is the only game/program that I encountered with this weird behavior.

Imo it's a bug that should be fixed, but I wouldn't hold my breath...

Edit: I managed to get it working by unmarking "Use original APO" for the capture device in the EqualizerAPO Configurator.

I also selected "Install as SFX/EFX (experimental)", but I'm not sure if that matters.

It requires a restart to apply this.
