ERROR 0x887a0005 / 0x887a0006 Steam version
I've tried probably all tips from Google, Youtube, Reddit, and EA answers. Specs RAM 16GB, RTX 3070 Ti
I'm running an NVIDIA GPU and I have the latest driver, I even rolled back on 2 older stable drivers (clean install)
I don't have overclocked, nothing I can find online to fix it helps.
9 of 10 Crashes happen shortly before landing on the ground at the beginning of a game, 1 out of 10 is randomly when the game is going on (in case get that far)
I've already tried:
- set device and GPU for best performance, instead of power-saving
- set Anti-Cheat priority to low in Task Manager
- repair the game
- cap frame rate +fps_max 75
- lowering the graphical settings
- reinstall game+steam
- update bios
- update drivers
- reinstall drivers vs DDU and download drivers from the site
- turn on/off XMP
- change pagefile.sys to min 910 max 25000 / or 16384 stable / or allow Windows to manage pagefile size
- in the Control Panel I've changed the value for Turn off Hard Disk (minutes) to 0
- closed all programs and overlays
- TdrDelay and CpuPriorityClass registry edits
- turn off G-SYNC
- delete "cfg" folder and check the local files
- switching language to French/Polish
set the display mode to FullScreen or Windowed or Windowed without margins
- run the Apex Legends troubleshooting compatibility test
- disabled external hard drives that are not in use
add the source to the list of allowed applications in the Windows Defender Firewall
- give the Steam and r5apex.exe + r5apex_dx12.exe Admin rights while open
- Nvidia control panel > manage 3D settings > Program settings > r5apex.exe > V-sync: ON
- In-game > V-sync: disabled and Nvidia Reflex: disabled
- disabled fullscreen optimisations
- reinstall the game to the internal hard drive (C:\)
- verified connectivity to Easy Anti-Cheat
- clean boot
- various other ways I may forget to mention because it's too many
