Error Code 100 - PS4
Hello!
I figured I would post a comment regarding the EA server connection error code 100, as I am now finally able to access my account.
The first thing I did was to check with my friends to see who was/wasn't affected by the issue. I then went to check the official and non-official forum to compare with the rest of the online community.
As I play on PS4 I figured I should try resetting my DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 respectively, that did not work. There has been no official information from EA or Apex, apart from a Tweet stating they were aware of and, therefore, investigating the issue. Which was nice, considering that it's the weekend. But I did not expect any detailed solution coming from them anytime soon. This is why I continued with my "research" (which mainly consisted of reading angry posts, resembling the one I would have wrote if the error code persisted).
As the Error code stated that it was impossible to connect me to my EA account, I tried accessing the account via my smartphone in order to login to my account on the webpage, which didn't work. I was recommended to check my internet connection. I then went on my laptop and did the same, where my account is automatically logged in. That worked and, simultaneously, my PS4 was able to connect to APEX and move past the error code 100. (My internet, DNS settings are back to what they were originally 0.0.0.0)
I have no idea as to why that worked and, I honestly believe that it's simply a fortunate coincidence. Yet, I felt I should share my experience with the community to find out if the problem has been solved for them too, and if not, provide a possible solution.
