fps locked at 60 in game despite getting 180 in firing range

I just got a new PC just to play Apex only to find out that Apex is the only game that won't play at more than 60 FPS in game and 30 in the dropship. I've tried reinstalling anti-cheat, reinstalling ...

I forgot to mention I already had +fps_max unlimited on but I still tried what you said and nothing changed. Any other ideas?

Are you playing in Windowed or fullscreen?

If you wipe your videoconfig file (the gmae will make a new one from a default template) does that have any effect? Sometimes settings get stuck.

You'll find it at C:\Users\yourusername\Saved Games\Respawn\Apex\local
