It's unplayable. This sucks.
I'm locking up every match, I think it's a shader or audio cue that's causing it because I'll get to certain area and it will do it or if bloodhound pops his scan it locks up as well.
The application itself locks up, and you have to alt-tab, kill the process and restart the game.
It's acting like a segmentation fault.
Post your hardware I wonder if this AMD issue, because it does it on my steam deck as well.

Same issue here. No way in hell it's an hardware issue.

After the update of S15, I keep on freezing every now and then.
I've been troubleshooting the issue.
Reinstall the game
Verify the Game
Transfer the file from HDD to SSD
Change the settings in Game Launch to DX12
Stills the same.
Hoping the next update it fixes the issue.

After updating my game on Steam I've been having a consistent issue with Apex Legends. Every time I open the game the Respawn Entertainment scene plays but once it gets to the black loading screen my game instantly crashes with no error message. It just boots me back to my desktop. I did solve it for only one session where I restarted my PC and instantly opened Apex legends after it rebooted, but that doesn't seem to work anymore. I have tried multiple things to resolve my issue. I updated my Nvidia drivers, verified file integrity, and finally uninstalled and reinstalled the game. None of those helped me. I'll list my computer specs below in case I don't meet the minimum requirements anymore, but I'm just stuck, confused, and angry since no one else seems to be having this problem. Also, this is only happening to Apex Legends. All the other games I own are running smoothly with no hiccups.
My Specs:
CPU - AMD Ryzen 7 2700
GPU - MSI RTX 2060 Ventus XS 6GB
Motherboard - ASRock B450 Pro4
RAM - 16GB DDR4
Could you check and see if there any new Crashpad dumps that have been generated after these crashes?
You can find them in your main Apex Legends directory. (Apex Legends\Crashpad\db\...)
You can zip these files and attach them to your post, I'll check these files to see if I can find anything special.
Are you also able to attach a DxDiag to your next post?

Do note that fixing bugs can be quite hard, especially trying to fix it in a way that it doesn't cause other problems, so this might take some time if they are able to resolve the issue.
Me as well, I uninstalled my razer software and it fixed it, for all for 30 minutes. It freezes, then if you alt tab, my Home Screen on W10 has a different stretched resolution (I play on a 1440p monitor, but stretch out the resolution). If I try to tab back into the game, nothing but black screen and a noise loop from the previous 5 seconds of the game. CPU usage I’ve noticed goes down to nearly 0%, but windows doesn’t recognize that the game has crashed. Only way to stop it is to end task in task manager. Before uninstalling my razer software, it was happening before I even loaded into even the firing range. It kinda makes the game unplayable. I’ve done a fresh install of the game, turned down the easy anti cheat priority in task manager, and a ton of other things to try to fix it. Nothing really worked. I’d like to get in on this season, the new map seems like fun
JUST A HEADS UP!
The current the issue with freezing is not your game, game settings or your internet. This freeze can be random and sometimes instant, someone could assume it's the map which is correct since I ran some tests on different maps and NOPE! there isn't any issue with it since the only the issue is the new map "Broken Moon" and it's more towards a client-side issue rather than a game issue because that would affect all players and by then it would cause chaos.

Even if you aren't able to full experience Season 15 for now, I recommend you, the player, to checkout Arenas since daily and mostly weekly missions have challenges around this mode also a good way to practice with characters and weapons in fights or wait next week so the map rotation since Olympus and Storm Point havent receive any major change since Season 12/13.
And for you nerdies (like me) want to keep up if the ficed the issue. I reccomend checking out Apex Legend's Trello board here .
