I keep freezing crashing during games since the update, please figure it out EA/Apex Devs, I know I am NOT the only one suffering this technical problem as there are multiple people on different forums expressing their grief....its unplayable.

No it did not help. I jinxed it. Had 4-5 games without crashes and here it is again. And I died while reconnecting :D Yeah, thank you, time to play a properly optimized game, bye
Yup same has already crashed more than 10 times just now played a match got 7 crashes in just 1 stop i just quit the game. what an unplayable season. off to a good start!
Same issue here. I5 7600k, GTX1060, 1TB NVMe. No errors just a hard hang of the game.
Every match I've had this happen has been as I'm running to a fight. As with others it seems sitting still isn't an issue but moving quickly is what causes the hang. No errors were reported and the CPU/GPU load drops to almost nothing.
I guess we're not playing this season, no response from EA or Respawn. Guess it's time to uninstall and walk away.
Then they wonder why people aren't buying or playing their stuff.
Update: Based on other peoples posts Im 99% sure now that the new map is the cause of it, game runs just fine on Arenas, since Respawn/EA refuses to say anything about this problem I guess the only solution is to wait until next week to be able to play, when Olympus and Worlds Edge start rolling on the rotation, not gonna put myself through the pain that is arenas just to grind the battle pass, ggs 🙂

My game happens to crash whenever I’m in a match. Whenever I’m in a middle of a game, it suddenly freezes and the moment I switch tabs, the screen turns black. I can’t quit the game unless I open the task manager and end task the game. Apex also doesn’t appear as “not responding”. This has only recently happened to me probably a month ago. At first, I thought it was only a minor inconvenience because it only happened rarely, but now it’s happening in every match I play.
Steps I tried;
I spent days trying to figure out the problem since It’s becoming a nuisance to me. I want to enjoy the new season but I can’t play the game smoothly, can anyone help me?
Great suggestion I was actually able to play for 3 games with no incident but unfortunately on the 4th game I froze and was forced to end task in task manager. Still it was better than freezing multiple times per game. Either way it seemed to be a temporary but not 100% fix. I will try again hopefully and maybe change my data center.
