I am playing on ps4 and my friend is playing on xbox. He has searched for me and I show up and he has sent the friend request but I do not get any notification to accept. I have also tried searching for him but it just says no account found.
Is there a solution for this?

I too have had issues with this and followed all possible ways of rectifying it is there any other steps me (on xbox) or my friend (on PlayStation) can do to sort this, we followed all advice given and still are drawing blank.
I know it's years too late, but I just figured out that the reason why my PS4 friend request wasn't going through was because the PS4 was appearing offline. So make sure you appear online. Good luck 🤞
