Friends list

(PlayStation)

This may have already been answered somewhere but I couldn’t find it so any help would be appreciated. 
So, my problem is that whenever I want to play with friends on apex (their names are green) I’ve always had to invite them as you can’t just join. 
This is fair enough as it was always that way for me. However! If I searched my friends name in the ‘find friend’ option and added them as an EA friend. Once I did that, their names became blue and I was able to press join rather then inviting and waiting. This was brilliant.

However, once cross platform came out my ‘PlayStation’ friends have reverted back to green and are no longer joinable, whilst the couple of ‘Xbox’ friends I have are now blue instead. 

Ive searches everywhere to find a way to make my PlayStation friends joinable again but I’m stumped, any help?

    @saints0123 Can you share a screenshot of what you are seeing? To confirm did this start with Season 8 or when did you first run into this issue?

    Hi thanks for the reply, this issue started after the season 7 mid season split. As you can see on the screenshot, only my Xbox friends are blue and joinable, whereas the 2 players that are circled (we play together most often) are ps players and are constantly green now instead of blue.
