Whenever I hop on to play with friends, we cannot see each other as being online. We can't join lobbies because of this and end up having to restart Origin and our games multiple times.
Our Origins are updated, our games are updated. We just do not show up as online to join or invite each other.

Even in game, in Apex, it will say "1 friend in apex" but when you click on either the "+" or the friends tab, we will not show up for each other.
In the images provided, it's not even showing the friend that is IN Apex as being the one online.
