It seems that there are two main issues caused by this same problem. 1) Crashing out, and 2) Getting into the game but the game stuttering severely when the mouse is moved. It seems that these problems have occurred in the last few days since the small update was released. From what I've read, it does not seem to be related to what OS you have, what updates etc.
I run Apex out of Origin. I have Windows 7 currently. I have tried installing the windows updates recommended: KB4534310 and KB4534314. I am not going to update to Windows 10 right now as I'm not believing that is required. I have tried excluding Apex, Origin, and EasyAntiCheat folders and executables from my Norton Antivirus. I have also tried repairing EasyAntiCheat. Rebooted my machine several times, including my router. I have played Apex since it was released 3 years ago, with very few problems. I only have about 3500 hrs played, but still play almost every day and have sunk money into this game.
I can get into the game and into a match, but I get the problem where moving my mouse causes the game to stutter severely, and is unplayable. I see the stutter in a match and also in the Firing range and Training range. I even see it in the front end lobby where I can move my mouse and the chosen legend pauses and stutters, the effects in the front end pause and stutter, etc.
This is really unacceptable. I'm curious how widespread this stuttering and crashing is. Those experiencing it have no recourse now and are stuck not being able to play. I hope the issue is widespread enough so that EA can't just say "too bad for you.....we have hundreds of thousands of other players that aren't experiencing this issue". Please help us EA!
this is seriously annoying, it never gets passed the anticheat screen. started 2 days ago, we need a fix and need it ASAP. ive tried reinstalling, fixing files, running admin, disabling firewalls, updated drivers, etc nothing will ever fix this problem on the user end, its broken currently.

Same issue here.
The game doesn't get past the easy anticheat screen, it just closes.
I didn't get deep into the analysis of the crash, but a quick look at the dump says the error is the following
Exception Code: 0xC0000005
The thread tried to read from or write to a virtual address for which it does not have the appropriate access.I don't have the full stack trace as i don't have winDBG installed on my gaming PC, and i'm too lazy to move the dump to my workstation for the analysis.
To me, it looks like there is some sort of access violation in some recently updated game component, or something that conflicts with the memory protection mechanisms that windows puts in place.
Anticheats work as service and do many nasty things to monitor the system for suspicious behaviours, I wonder if the anticheat is doing something that windows doesn't like, resulting in an exception that kills the game process.

Agreed. Ive been very understanding of all the issues that have plagued Apex over the years but a literal game breaking bug that wont even let the game load? Honestly its unnacceptable. Its been days with no official response from EA even acknoledging it. Yes, its a very 1st world problem but Im considering unistalling and never looking back soon.
