Game freezes after new mid-season update (Lobby)

I have the same damn issue. The fact that no one from EA has responded to this thread is worrying, considering this bug renders the game literally unplayable. I bought the Battle pass 2 days ago and now I cant play to finish it. They should expect a BP refund request soon if they don't fix this asap. 

I have done everything possible to resolve the issue including file verification, restarts and redownloading the game entirely. Noting has changed. I cant find any fixes online either. This bug popped up yesterday on my first launch after the Double Take event update on pc. 

I don't even have time to view all the event items until the game completely freezes up and locks me out. The only time I am graced with a change of scenery is when I alt+tab in and out of the game and then I'm coming back to a black screen.

Edit: After changing a bunch of settings as advised by others in the thread, updating my GPU drivers to the 27/06/2024 release, I was able to play 3 games before the game froze and crashed again. Not to mention the game is performing significantly worse than it did before the update. I used to have little to no fps drops and now my games look like this:
