Game freezes when moving my mouse.

Hi

I have this problem since a week now, when I move my mouse in game, the games freezes and stops freezing only when I stop moving my mouse, this makes the game unplayable.
I've tried to set my mouse to 500mHz instead of 1000 mHz and that did nothing, I also trid to delete and redownload the game, I did a Repair, I've tried a lot of things and that still happens.
I don't know what to do know and I just can't play Apex with that bug.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

do you have any software that the mouse is using? like logitech ghub for example...

try to delete the mouse driver in device manager then plug the mouse back in ...

  • uninstall ghub and play a game without it on your pc and see if that is the problem...

Thanks it helped i dont know why, it worked perfectly before

  • hello from year 2024 and we just updated to v3.0.67.34 a couple of days ago.

I've had some fps problems with my Razer on Apex 4-5 years ago and changing sampling rate fixed those - from 1000 to 125; been playing fine since.

Now this was different, complete freeze while mouse moving in any UI of the APEX window, even settings menus..

I found that one utility that I use, and been using forever, Direct Folders by Code Sector, that hooks on explorer process, somehow is causing this for Apex.

Just before the APEX update I did not have this problem, have been playing fine.

I can clearly reproduce this on Win10, any mouse with any mouse drivers, 2060,i7 and df64.exe loaded.

    Kill df64.exe and voila, fixed.

I don't believe it's direct folder's fault though, and it could be several other utilities that use similar hooks that may afect your APEX.

I hope it gets fixed soon, cos that DF is a very handy utility.

  • @qumastI use TeraCopy by Code Sector and I have this problem too, but turning off the service and disabling the use of TeraCopy for file transfer doesn't help
edit: Moreover, the problem is observed only on the mouse, with gamepad everything is fine. The slower I move the mouse, the less freezes I get.

It must be something similar, a utility that runs and makes the graphics do this, it might not be TerraCopy. Keep trying to kill stuff. You don't need to restart the game to see if it worked. Just have it open, windowed and move cursor on it to see if killing last proggy worked. Others have reported logitech's G-hub, EA's in-game display etc. I got a Razer Orochi mouse but got same results with any mouse, and even when remotely moving my mouse cursor for example through remote desktop.
