Game lagging and sling shooting even when my internet is strong

Game lagging and sling shooting even when my internet is strong and nothing else I try is lagging. Internet is testing at 60+ MB/s and streaming plus others things are not an issue at all, but however APEX has been lagging in game and giving me 400+ MS on every single server as soon as I connect. Before I connect they all look normal at around 40MS but skyrocket as soon as I connect to the server. I have tried to uninstall the game, repair the game, restart router, restart computer, reinstall origin and nothing helps. Please someone, I need a solution. Super frustrating as there is not way to get any help or find solutions online.

there's like 2-4% packet loss on all  of the respawn servers on my list.

something is definitely broken at EA HQ

  • Yeah I figured it could be something wrong on their end, but its frustrating as none of my other friends are having any issues.

    Hey @Geexd125

Have you tried switching to a different DNS in Windows to see if that makes any difference for you? I've seen some cases where using a different DNS can help with similar issues.

You can change the DNS through the Windows TCP/IP Settings. For more information on how to get there check out the Microsoft Support website. If you choose the Manual option you can enter a DNS of your choosing. I usually go with the public Google DNS (Primary DNS: 8.8.8.8; Secondary DNS: 8.8.4.4), but if there's another DNS you'd rather use instead that's OK as well.

Let me know if you're still running into the same issues afterward. Thanks!

  • Whatever I did, I couldn't solve high ping and package loss issue. I tried flushing dns and other steps, I deleted the cache of origin, I changed my dns and I forwarded my ports. These didn't help me at all because I still experience package loss. SOMEBODY HELP ME!!!

    Hey @MA_TheStrikeZ

Would you be able to try running a UO Trace when you've got the chance? That should give us a more detailed look at the connection between your home network and the servers. That way if there's something happening in between we should be able to spot it.

For more information on how to run the test check out the EA Help website. Look for the section in that article titled How to run a UOTrace. Once you have the results please send them to me in a direct message. Thanks!
