How do I fix an invalid EA account?

This is the worst customer service that I have ever received from a company!

We don't just give access to an account when someone says they own it. That's like me going to the office of an apartment complex, saying I live there and asking for the key and having them give it to me without even checking my credentials. That's not how it works and that's not how our security works. You need to prove you own the account. To do that, you'll have to go through the account recovery process.

That’s not what I asked!!! I have information of his!! But how the hell am I supposed to access HIS email account!!! ITS NOT MINE

It sounds like he owns the account then. We can't give you access to his account.

And then you go and delete my comment. You guys are ridiculous 10/10 DONT recommend trying to communicate with the EA team. We were together using his PlayStation, when we broke up I bought my own PlayStation yet my EA account was still connected to his (which I was not aware of) I’ve tried contacting him to contact you guys to have it switched yet he will not communicate back to me. So you’re telling me I just lose EVERYTHING On my account because my ex changed my information and there’s “nothing” you can do about it? This literally makes me want to cry. That’s the only game I play on my PlayStation and I’m level 444. I literally bought my PlayStation for no reason then because you guys say you can’t help me.

I understand the frustration with this. I'd hate to lose access to the account my ID was on as well. I know there's a ton of time and work invested in the games you play. The unfortunate thing is that he owns the account. Not you. We can't do anything about that. That's not our fault. We can't just remove your PSN ID from his account. He will need to contact us to do that. Also, if your PSN ID is unlinked, you will lose all progress on all EA games on that account. So, all your hard work with Apex would be lost. 

I'm very sorry for all the frustration with this, but we can't just make changes to someone's account without their permission. I imagine you wouldn't want him contacting us about your account and making changes based on his word. If it's going to be impossible to get him to turn the account over to you, the only other option is to start over with a new account.

Is there no way that you can contact him asking him permission/asking him if it’s my account? I’m pretty sure I’m blocked on all his stuff. I literally have all his information, I’m not kidding. Full name, both emails, birthday, phone number, address my psn is SluutBunny666 (sorry for the name) I can provide you with basically whatever you need I just can’t get into his email. I just even messaged one of his family members to try and get it changed. 

I literally wouldn’t be trying so hard right now if it wasn’t the one game I play. It’s literally the reason I bought my PlayStation 🙃

I'm sorry, but we can't contact him for you. This is something you'll need to work out with him. That or start over on a new account.

How does that help my security though?? Lmao... my stuff was attached to it... so my security was technically breached too, I’m on a whole different console 

This is the most frustrated I’ve ever been with a customer service agent, and I used to do inbound customer service calls. I feel like my security would be safer talking to an actual person on the phone than over the internet.

He owns the account. I get that your PSN ID is linked to it, but we can't make any changes without him contacting us and requesting them.

You're more than welcome to open a case with a live support advisor here if you need to speak with someone on the phone. They will tell you the same thing I am though.

Is it saying that my account is still attached to anything? He’s saying that he detached it 8 months ago? But it just kicked me off apex a week ago?

I don’t know what information to give him to show that my account is still connected to his

I'm very sorry, but I can't give you any details on this account since you aren't the owner. You can try contacting an advisor by phone, but there's nothing they can do. The account owner needs to make the changes themselves or contact us for assistance.

I can't give out that information. Since we can't do account ownership verification, we can't discuss account details on Answers HQ. There is absolutely nothing whatsoever that I can help with here. You will need to either contact an advisor that can go through verification with you or use the account recovery webform.

MY PSN SluutBunny666 you can’t tell me if it was connected yes or no?????? Like I still have my account running??? My PlayStation is right here???

I have told you numerous times how you may be able to get some help. I'm doing all I can here. We take account security very seriously. We don't just give out details that can be used to gain access to an account when you don't own it.

This whole thing is absolutely ridiculous I've never had an EA account like what is even going on I don't know what I need to do at all So I'm * uninstalling this game so * you EA and * your games

If you didn't have an EA account, you wouldn't be able to post here. Most likely you have multiple accounts and are resetting the password for the wrong account. If you don't know the email address for your EA account, the webform here will need to be filled out so the account recovery process can be started.
