How do I get into a game?

The timer is used to indicate how long it takes until the next map rotates, so it has nothing to do with how long it takes to find a match.
Have you checked if you're playing on the latest update? Sometimes you can get into the lobby on an older version, though there aren't any players playing on that version, thus starving the queue.
It's also possible that there just aren't many players currently in-game in your region, typically due to late-night gaming or people being at work.
Switching your datacenter might help as there could be players nearby that are just connecting to another datacenter.
You can switch your datacenter on the start-up menu, an option will show at the bottom of your screen allowing you to change the datacenter you're connected to.
