How do I switch to a new EA account for Apex Legends on the Nintendo Switch?

I currently have a different EA account that links across many of our family’s systems, including the Nintendo Switch- how can I connect my new EA account to the Nintendo Switch and the Switch ONLY?

If you take a look at your EA Account page here, your various platforms are attached to a singular EA Account. You're not unlinking an EA Account from that particular Switch, you're removing the Switch from access to that EA Account content.

Slight distinction, but it may help see what's happening when going through this unlink process.

Keep in mind as well that you wouldn't be able to link a different Switch account to this same EA Account in the future as mentioned above.

    Hey @Squished09,

Please take a look at our unlinking article here for more information about removing a platform (such as Switch) from one EA account if you're trying to link it to a new one.

Keep in mind that progress is stored on the EA account level, not on individual platforms like PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, etc. This means if you link your platform to a different EA account, you'll lose access to that progress.

There is not a way to transfer your progress to a new EA account, so you would be starting over in that situation.

  • If I unlink my EA account from the Nintendo Switch, would it affect the EA account shared with another platform, or only for the Switch?
