How to fix Apex Error Code 0x887a0006

Error code: 0x887a0006
Have tried literally everything, updated drivers, reinstalled the game, edited the registry, verified the integrity of the files on steam, resetting the pc, and I still receive this message every time I try to boot up the game.

[CM - Edited title for clarity]

I have found my solution, I upgraded my graphic driver driver version to one of the optional versions it provides and that seemed to work and the game is running.

For Radeon it was version 22.2.2

  • Get the removed, and Hung error many times,I have tried everything to fix it yet to no avail, and not one has helped. Just venting frustrations at this point cause seems like there won't be any fix.

  • Season 13 update resulting in constant error below.

    Engine Error

0x887A0006 - DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG The application's device failed due to badly formed commands sent by the application. This is a design-time issue that should be investigated and fixed.

Hey, can we get an official update on this? Where is the communication with the community. Why are we getting ignored. 8 days in and we got nothing yet for a permanent fix or an official post saying we can expect a fix when?

Here's a suggestion, how about a message board with acknowledge bugs and on going fixes in the works in the game main menu. Would be a great way to let us all know that you are aware of these bugs and are working on it.

just started having this problem after installing new ryzen9 5900 over old ryzen9 3900, upgrading from 64 to 128gb ram and upgrading from 2080ti to 3090ti

I never had this issue before and just did the listed upgrades and now and am having this issue

I also re-installed, deleted, repaired, modified registery, ran as admin and everything else listed to try.

I run msi dragon center with a custom locked cpu speed of 3.7mhz, my ram has been clocked to 3200 through the bios, and my cpu voltages is tuned down by an offset of .0500v. I have uninstalled all gpu clocking software after restoring to default settings.

i have run the game without the error for years using same clock (ran the 3900 at 3.8 actually) and settings in bios regarding power and ram.

I used to use evga gpu clocking software (when i ran evga 2080ti), but switched to msi afterburner with the new 3090ti (msi)

So the problem, through my process of upgrades and elimiintions, is with msi dragon center/afterburner, ryzen 9 5900 cpu, 3090ti's, or running the game with 128mb ram instead of 64 (doesnt seem logical at all to me)

I give up, untill there is a def fix or patch, ill be playing overwatch2.

    ryzen 9 5900

    128 gb corsair vengence pro @ 3200

    msi meg x570 ace

    msi 3090ti suprim

2tb samsung 970 m2 (running games & origin through this)

250 gb samasung  970 m2 (just for windows)

2tb western digital ssd (misc storage)

16 tb seagate 7200 rpm hdd (media only, no games)
