Since around the beginning of February I've been getting fps drops from a normal 60 to under 10 fps. It happens randomly but it is really emphasized in fights which makes it impossible to aim and the very game unplayable. I've tried many fixes [and yes I've read EA's crash guide with a lot of points which I've tried and none worked because those are crash related (along with tons of other threads)...] including:
Tinkering with in-game settingsSetting my Nvidia GPU as the one the game uses in Nvidia's Control Panel along with some other tinkering in thereClicking optimize in GeForce ExperienceAll of the bullets in the links on EA's crash guide from EA_Blueberry in his comment here(https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues/Apex-Legends-Fps-Drops/td-p/7516141)
Also, I've noticed that my GPU usage drops from around 80-90% down to below 10% while the fps drops are happening.
Everything is on Low settings.
Other games like Rainbow Six Siege, Star Wars: Battlefront II and League of Legends work perfectly fine.
So far I've found absolutely no fixes whatsoever online that even barely helped me...
Any advice would be appreciated.
I also had severe fps drops in all the games before downgrading my graphics card drivers and cleaning. Try to reinstal your graphics card drivers to the ones that are displayed on lenovo website, not to the newest ones. And in general try only those drivers.Cleaning up dust and changing the thermal paste helps with temperatures. I have the same pc but mine is a bit older with i5-7300hq @ 2.5GHz and GTX1050 - the reguillar one, and on low settings the game runs quite stable and only in some places or fast fights it dips below 60fps.
