Hey , thanks for the feedbak !
I tried capping my fps to 90, then 70. I still get the drops (maybe slightly less often ? not sure).
Couldn't find the fan configuration in the bios. I do have something like that in Asus Armoury Crate though, that allows me to push the fans to the max. Had to uninstall it a few months ago because it was affecting my general perfomances, but I'll give it another go.
What's bothering me is: why did it start dropping all of a sudden a few days ago ? Everything was working great before that. Never monitored my temps, but as someone mentioned, most computers likes those run very hot, and they can still run games without problem. Is it because the thermal paste got worn out super fast (the computer is only 6 months old !) ? Or could it have something to do with the holo-day bash update ?
Can you try running another game? That would help to figure out if it's isolated. At this point I'll just list off a bunch of things I would try in your situation, Disable Anti virus temporarily while playing game, try putting something under your laptop to keep it propped up so it can take in air, go to Asus website and download all the intel chipset drivers and pretty much anything related to gpu/cpu, power settings on high performance, If you have geforce experience turn off in game overlay and whisper mode, turn off windows game mode and game bar. Finally try updating the bios from newest version on Asus website.
I'm running out of ideas since it seems most of it has been mentioned, Laptop issues can be an absolute pain to address, hopefully one of those helps.
