why i can't play 4:3 on full screen, does +mat_letterbox_aspect_goal 1.33 +mat_letterbox_aspect_threshold 1.33 not work any more?

I have this problem too, for me it is very bad to play with backbars, because my monitor is small and my native resolution is 1024x 768, please make this command 4: 3 aspect work again
After the latest update, I can't play on the 4:3 resolution anymore without black bars.
Is this is a deliberate choice? Why? Or how can i fix this?
Help needed, it plays horribly with those nasty big black bars. Not having this issue with other games.
Same here, playing 1280x960. mat_letterbox_aspect_goal and mat_letterbox_aspect_threshold not working anymore. Not playing until this fixed, unfortunately

yes, games unplayable on 16:9 lags like powerpoint
- @Diino21 i rage quit after 3 games, this * is so well optimized its impossible to play at 16:9, plus everything is so * small, i play csgo for more than 10 years on * stretched, i cant just switch like that to cancer hd res
i'd imagine they would mention this in the patch notes if they did actually remove the command, but nothing has been mentioned about this anywhere
