why i can't play 4:3 on full screen, does +mat_letterbox_aspect_goal 1.33 +mat_letterbox_aspect_threshold 1.33 not work any more?

@Diino21 i rage quit after 3 games, this * is so well optimized its impossible to play at 16:9, plus everything is so * small, i play csgo for more than 10 years on * stretched, i cant just switch like that to cancer hd res

I don't even have this issue and it upsets me how nonfunctional EA is to the community. Anything with this kind of response deserves an acknowledgement. You have to imagine what kind of message is being given here when a company with the value EA has, can't staff thenselves with a tech support team of jobless wastrels with some decent communication skills to give a canned acknowledgment on a board. To not even do that, is, well, it basically says we're worthless to them. Jokes on them tho, I'm not spending a dime on Apex. No matter what they do. I'll buy Titanfall 3 though. Hope they get that message.

I have this problem too, for me it is very bad to play with backbars, because my monitor is small and my native resolution is 1024x 768, please make this command 4: 3 aspect work again

After the latest update, I can't play on the 4:3 resolution anymore without black bars.
Is this is a deliberate choice? Why? Or how can i fix this?
Help needed, it plays horribly with those nasty big black bars. Not having this issue with other games.

@Sir5alL Having this problem aswell, 1440x1080 worked fine before patch but now has black bars on top and bottom.

Same here, playing 1280x960. mat_letterbox_aspect_goal and mat_letterbox_aspect_threshold not working anymore. Not playing until this fixed, unfortunately

i'd imagine they would mention this in the patch notes if they did actually remove the command, but nothing has been mentioned about this anywhere
