i can't play 4:3 resolution on full screen
why i can't play 4:3 on full screen, does +mat_letterbox_aspect_goal 1.33 +mat_letterbox_aspect_threshold 1.33 not work any more?

Thanks for the reports on this. It looks like the Apex Legends team is tracking this issue.

- @EA_Kent since you replied.. can you also ask them about why when i start the game defaulted in 4:3 it always has black bars? I have to every time switch resolution to different one and switch back to finally make black bars dissapear..

- @WCKD_Fameq no, i have black bars after the update regardless of anything, i was just asking about previous version of game, i always had black bars at start and had to switch resolutions to get rid of it.. do you also have black bars when you start the game or does it start stretched already like csgo? am talking about previous working version of the game

I've tried after the update, not having used it prior (I play 16:9 was just trying to help a friend that uses 4:3), and it worked fine with -w 1280 -h 960 and the settings on nvidia control panel. So I'm guessing some ppl still have the black bars due to an issue with some saved setting files that existed prior to the update.
Have anyone tried clear the apex files, the my documents and the cache ones?
I completely wiped everything about Apex from my pc and redownload it and still same issue.I tried ALOT of resolutions but none works at all always having black bars that i didnt have.I tried running other fps games that io play and they all work perfecly as i was sure they would.Last nights update completely ruined streched res. players like me.Ive just tried right now to play at 1080p didnt go so well+fps drops+its disquisting since i have played fps games at streched from very begining when i played older shooter games.
- @WCKD_Fameq @IpnoSyko i just checked 1280x960 on mat 1.33 (4:3) it doesnt work, 1280x1024 on mat 1.25 (5:4) doesnt work also, do you have amd gpu as i do?

So strech will be back? Because my game on my 17" monitor on 1024 works on 40-60 fps and its playble, now, im playing can't even see over 20m a person without scoping because its to small. Bigger rez wont even open on my wooden pc. Hope u will bring it back!

hang tight for 3 days? really can we get an update on whats going on? this makes ppl not wanting to play the game yet you dont fix this. instead you made an 200mb+ update for what? ppl having black visualbugs? i wish i had 4:3 stretched with black visualbugs instead of losing FPS and my resolution.This update fixed problems with battle pass :D
1 tweet in 4 days was enough to solve battle pass problem...

I don't even have this issue and it upsets me how nonfunctional EA is to the community. Anything with this kind of response deserves an acknowledgement. You have to imagine what kind of message is being given here when a company with the value EA has, can't staff thenselves with a tech support team of jobless wastrels with some decent communication skills to give a canned acknowledgment on a board. To not even do that, is, well, it basically says we're worthless to them.
Jokes on them tho, I'm not spending a dime on Apex. No matter what they do. I'll buy Titanfall 3 though. Hope they get that message.

Im on the same page here, I don't mind waiting but letting us know the situation is quite important @EA_Kent if you could do this I think a lot of people would be highly appreciative of this action.
- @KillerKopz here is the missing information he is not allowed to talk about: someone at respawn found out after ONE year that there is an exploit which removes all particles (smoke, muzzle flash, etc.). It has something to do with the responsiveness of the UI and cant get fixed fast. #leaked
- @EA_Kent hey Kent did "the Apex Legends team" tracked the "issue" and will it be fixed in a cuple of days more for u to reply again or u hope the kids here gonna forget about it. Well I can't, don't realy care because cuple of guys were using the strech command with a lot of other unknown developer commands so u punish everyone, but still cheaters with speedhacks, aimbots, ESP. That why Apex is gona lose its ground because its getting less balanced for everyone, only for those who have 240 FPS with a 4k TV for a screeen are having better time. Thats not balance, thats scaming. I get the all "we want to do things diffrent" but your going they wrong way.
Everybody at this point is already done with this game. Hope Valorant comes quicker than we all think :D
