I have a 144 Hz monitor, but my refresh rate is capped at 60
I have a 144 Hz monitor, but my refresh rate is capped at 60. I dont see any hz options within the resolution settings where it usually is with these games.
Could you please help me out how can make use of my 144 monitor fully?
My monitor is a asus vg278q, which lately got supported by G-Sync.
Alright i shall guide you through the ground up to setting up your monitor.
1. Download the driver for your monitor here: https://www.asus.com/uk/Monitors/VG278Q/HelpDesk_Download/
2. Right click your desktop and open nvidia control panel, click change resolution to the left.
- If you do not have 1080p @144Hz click the drop menu in the refresh section to change it.
- If you do not have the option for 144Hz then click the customise... button.

SpoilerTick the Enable resolutions not exposed by the display and then click Create custom Resolution. . .
Adjust the numbers like so:
Click test and save if asked, then go back to your resolution page and in the list of resolutions will be a section named Custom.
Select the 1080p resolution in there and apply.
Now go to the Set up G-SYNC section to the left.

Go to the Manage 3D settings page and click the program settings tab.
Click Apex in the drop menu, then scroll down the settings.
Apply the settings like so:
Apply the settings and open Apex.
Apply the ingame settings like so:
And you should be good.
