in redeemed a code but didnt get the contents

hi i redeemed a gift card earlier today for apex coins i logged into apex and its still said 0 and this was 3 hours ago and still i have 0 coins i tried redeeming it again but said already redeemed and as i said i still have 0 coins. i wanted to buy the new apex collection event for the heirloom but now im a bit worried about my money as i dont want to spend it for nothing

@Playerdrdrlupo,

If you redeemed it via the EA website, can you try opening the game via the EA app? Often it doesn't catch the codes properly if you redeem it in one place and then play somewhere else.

hey im using steam currently and i went on microsoft edge and typed ea.com/redeem

ok so does that mean i have to download apex on ea app Because its early done installing on ea app

@Playerdrdrlupo Glad @EA_QueenBee was able to help sort out the issue!

Just to let you know, (in case it ever comes up in the future), if a friend ever gifts you an item for Apex Legends through a platform's store, (such as through Steam), it would require you to launch the game on that platform as well, (and I don't mean through the in-game gifting system).
I've had friends who randomly gifted me the Loba, Pathfinder, and Octane Legend Editions, (when those were still being sold as Legend Editions), and even Apex Coins through Steam, and I had to download and launch Steam to claim the items and coins.

Note: I'm not sure if players can still gift items for Apex Legends outside of the game, (like how you could through Steam), but its worth knowing anyways.
