Hello. Whenever i play Apex Legends my ram usage goes to 99%. My PC then begins to lag and the game crashes. The game apex legends uses a whopping 5.5gb alone. When the game crashes, i get the generic "memory" message. Ive tried uninstalling, new gpu driver and lowering all settings but nothing helped.
Think i fixed it by setting the VRAM setting to 2gb. Thanks

What resolution/image quality settings are you trying to play with?
(*sorry, I missed where you said you lowered all settings. Which settings, and how low?)
Remember that your GTX 970 is only able to use a little over 3GB of VRAM, not the 4GB in its spec.
It's possible you're working that GPU too hard, and some memory constraints are spilling over to main system RAM.
A game using 5.5GB isn't all that strange these days. Considering that's how much memory an Xbox One or PS4 game can use, and with Apex being multiplatform, not terribly surprising.

I too have this Problem but i have a GTX 750Ti with 2GB Vram...
I already play at the lowest possible settings.
