To clarify, you don't select a main account, the pop-up would just be letting you know what's being merged. The main account is automatically selected based on whichever platform was the highest level at the time of Cross Progression.
Which specific ranked data are you missing? If it's the ranked badges, there is a current issue we're investigating that caused those to be converted back to bronze badges instead. This doesn't have anything to do with Cross Progression, so feel free to check out the bug report thread here to see if that's what you're running into.

Some badges from Apex Legends’ earlier seasons previously earned on a non-primary account (an account that wasn’t the highest level at the time of Cross Progression) may not have been merged into the new Cross Progression enabled account which will be used going forward.
If these badges can be earned again through future gameplay, that is the only way to reacquire these badges.
For badges that cannot be obtained again due to their nature - e.g. a badge awarded for completing a former season’s Battle Pass or achieving a particular rank in an old season - Respawn continues to investigate returning these badges to affected users in the future.
We will communicate further about this investigation and its outcome at a later date.
Ah- okay cool. @EA_Mako Thank you for clarifying I was having trouble really understanding what had happened. It was the ranked badges and really all my ranked data (stats and wins etc) from my Xbox account. What it looks like is it just took my Switch account as my main account because it may have been a higher level. I cannot be sure of that fact because like i said before i haven't used Switch in over a year.

That definitely sounds like the case, as your stats would not have merged, just used the stats from whichever account was marked as the primary.
So in this case the stats wouldn't be restored or added as those couldn't be combined with Cross Progression, however the ranked badges should be corrected once the current ongoing situation is fixed!
