I play on Playstation and PC with my main being Playstation, and when the game tried to initiate cross progression, it chose the wrong account on my Playstation. It recently got linked, just to the wrong account.

The chosen account would have been whichever platform account you have linked to your EA account. You should be able to double-check the connections page here to see which platforms are connected.
If you had another PSN account that also plays Apex, that should be linked to its own EA account already so there wouldn't be a way to transfer or switch any progress made between accounts.
