Keep getting suspended over in-game names I've used for numerous seasons

The last few months I've been constantly getting reported for my in-game names. I have been using these names without any issues for literally half of Apex's lifespan. Easily 7 seasons at least. All of them have been funny and none were racist, toxic or offensive. I'm never rude or toxic to anyone that is my random no matter whether they are vets or new players.

- List of names -

*snip*

Although the last two names have no reason to be suspended over. None at all. The only logical explanation I can come up with is that I must of killed someone in a round and they rage report me "Inappropriate Content" (General) . Getting kills in rounds shouldn't lead to suspensions. EA is pretty much ignoring their own TOS rules "Improperly use in-game support or complaint buttons or make false reports to EA staff."  Also "If an EA Service requires you to create a "username" or a "persona" to represent yourself in-game and online, you should not use your real name and may not use a username or persona that is used by someone else or that EA determines is vulgar or offensive or violates someone else's rightsHow are my names violating someone's rights? It has been feeling like MY RIGHTS are being violated by these constant suspensions stemming from false reports to EA staff. Each time I try and dispute these false reports EA upholds the suspension stating the TOS rules above. I never post or complain in forums but as of this time I really don't see any other option available. I'm not a pro player or a big content creator so this is the only way for my voice to be heard.

    Hi @ButterThyBiscuit,

I've edited your post to remove the profanity. If it's inappropriate or led to an account action, probably best not to repeat it on the forums. Thanks!

Our Terms of Service team (ToS) can take a look if you fill out the webform to send in an appeal to them. Saying that, contacting the ToS team is only advisable if you believe the ban you received was added by mistake/no rules were broken. There is no purpose reaching out to the ToS team aside from that as they will not overturn bans if the rules were broken and creating appeals for legitimate bans adds more to the queue and causes the wait times to spike.

  • The only rule that was broken in my eyes was the person or people abusing and spamming false reports cause they got killed. I stated from EA's own TOS what the problem is. I'm not the one violating rules. The first two names obvious pushed the line for appropriateness but the last 2 I have literally used for nearly 8 seasons. I have 7000+ hrs in apex. Many people have seen the name and only now all of a sudden there is a problem with them? I mean the fact EA is more on top of suspending people for funny names instead of banning hackers is astonishing. I really think priorities need to be reevaluated. Honestly it seems like the whole suspension and dispute/resolution thing is just automated.

Why not try for a gamer tag that is a bit "normal" I mean if you really think about it your handle here is a bit of a double entendre and could easily be considered offensive.

    Gamertags can become offensive overtime.

Seemingly random numbers or words can get a reputation due to certain things.

Other users might find it offensive whilst some might not care, so if it gets reported it seems to apparently offend other users.

So things can change, just because we have something for a while doesn't mean it's fine for everyone.

  • I've had this EA ID name since before Anthem came out. "Handcrafted Cheek Clapper" is not offensive by any stretch of the imagination. If you think so I guess "Buttering Your Biscuit Baby" is offensive as well? I mean let's be honest here. It isn't. Everyone should be able to have the name they want "GRANTED" it doesn't cross the line as racist or malicious in nature. Neither of those names cross the threshold of racist or malicious. Not even close. If people can't laugh at something funny then you are gonna have a rough time in life. Learn to laugh and not be a pithy petty individual.
