Keyboard and mouse unresponsive on Apex Legends: PS4

I hooked up my keyboard and mouse on my ps4 and logged onto Apex about to test out keyboard and mouse when both were unresponsive, so I said, "Maybe its just the m&k". So I go on Fortnite and it works there. So there's something wrong. I'm still unable to play via keyboard and mouse.

    I think it’s ridiculous that we can’t use m&k on console but we have crossplay and pc players in our lobbies. Pc has such an advantage over console, and there needs to be a way we can compete. On controller we aim with our thumb, with a mouse you aim with your entire arm. It’s dumb.

    @EA_Kent Let me ask something real quick, you support crossplay on almost all platforms including pc, so why is it that you allow crossplay between devices that you may or may not know has a upper hand against those simply using controller? I'm not whining or complaining but I would really like a legit answer cause if you're going to support crossplay to a device that allows you to have the upper hand in a lobby with k&m then why not let people who would prefer to use k&m on console do the same? I'm not understanding the course of action that yall chose to take here. In all do honesty I would love to play Apex on console with k&m to experience the game without lag and any other type of problems you may experience on PC on console, I think it would bring more attention to the game as COD and Fortnite has already allowed this in their games understanding that they have a huge amount of players that prefer k&m over controller and I also don't understand why the ps4 and 5 have such a few number of games that allow k&m support even though there are people who can have workarounds to all this aka buying the right equipment. So if this isn't a buy to win situation and if you guys are really serious about kicking cheaters out of your game that's a lot more work in my opinion than to actually just make k&m supported especially in the modern age of gaming. I just want a answer cause I respect not supporting it on console but like I said people are able to work around this and I think it's just more valuable to allow it on all platforms such as PS and Xbox

    That's exactly what I'm saying, I play on both ps4 and pc simply because I dont like playing with controller anymore, and I think banning people because they're trying to find a way to cope with these rules that aren't even working mind you, are forced to play with controller and theres been times that I have played against people that has used the buy to win method in consoles and makes the game not fun to play anymore. I think it's time to accept things the way it is and start actually putting some effort into full k&m support for the majority of games for consoles.

    So they say they don't CONDONE it . Do they know that as I console player am forced to play against pc players when I want to hop in a lobby with my buddy that just so happens to be a pc player . I don't feel it's fair . It's getting quite frustrating to not be able to carry myself when I play with them . JUST GIVE CONSOLE MKB SUPPORT . Like in warzone or fortnite

    Can't stand to play on a controller . The problem is I as console player mostly plays with a buddy of mine who is on pc . So now I get forced to play in pc lobbies wich I feel is unfair already as it is . JUST GIVE US CONSOLE PLAYERS A FIGHTING CHANCE. Against pc players.
