Keyboard stops working once joining a team in Apex.

I really thought I checked this earlier as I had read a post that was similar to this. But, I played through the last round of titanfall 2 on the same PC with all the same settings and everything worked. So I went back into the keyboard settings and all the bindings were gone. I have never messed with them and I swear that I had tried to restore factory defaults on that same thing before because it was mentioned in a thread previously. I did update all drivers and windows settings in between that so maybe that was a thing? I dunno, but I did get a quest on apex legends to work today so I think I'm good.

I've reinstalled and tried to update everything I can think of. I'll try your clean boot when I get a chance. On this forum I found two other tickets where they had the exact same issue.

If you look at either of those threads the attached pictures show exactly what my button options look like. Instead of there being a "Q" next to an ability there is just a box with a line through it. Same with the option to relinquish jump master at launch. I can press F1 and select a quip but no other button on the keyboard does anything. Neither of those other threads posted an answer either.

Yea, I tried a clean boot and it didn't change anything. Got any other ideas?

Thanks for giving that a shot.

What type of keyboard are you using? Does it have any kind of software of its own?

  I don't remember my exact brand of keyboard but there is no software. I've had the same keyboard for probably 3 or 4 years. I also don't know why the slash through the button options appear on screen. If the keyboard was just not working, the game should still show the options to launch or relinquish jump master. I can try a different keyboard but I don't think it's the problem. For some reason F1 still brings up the quip wheel and I can have my characters say things. They just can't run, jump, or shoot. Now that I think about it, my mouse will move the direction my character looks but shooting doesn't work from left clicking. I guess I can try to uninstall all of origin again. Or see if Titanfall works the same or actually lets me move. Let me know if you have any other ideas.

    It is definitely strange that some keys would be working.
    
    If you open up the keybind settings in Apex Legends does it show that keys are bound to the commands that aren't working?
