Lag only in apex

@EA_Aljo Unless i’m in my room then yes it’s far but we do have really good connection and even when i move my game closer to the source of internet my game proceeds to bug and lag

No matter how close you are, you're still very susceptible to disconnects and lag. Let's find out what your NAT type is. Try loading into the network settings on your console and tell me what the NAT type is.

Would you be able to try moving closer and using a wire? Just as a test. I'd like to see if that makes a difference.

@EA_Aljo i moved closer to the source of internet and my game is still acting up but when i loaded up a different game it ran smoothly.

Each game is different so just because other games don't have this issue doesn't mean it's not a network problem so we still need to troubleshoot that. What I want to rule out is the wireless. Is it at all possible to get close enough for a wire just to see if that improves things?

@EA_Aljo i was still experiencing stutter lags like normal

@YoungSadVic I have the data thing in the top right showing me my FPS and ping

My ping remains very good and my FPS stays at 60 except in certain parts of the map it drops to 35

But every fight I get into looks like a stop motion movie
Only in Battle Royale mode

I go to arena or any other game and there’s no stuttering at all

@Trkst-er see with me i play with my friends from another state so my Ping is on 70 like it is in most games at it runs smoothly you know, my frames stay at 60 and they’ll drop and then my packet loss or whatever it’s called just starts going bonkers out of now where especially near fights or just walking around

@Trkst-er yes, i’ll look at my teammates and they freeze for a few frames and then they’re like on the other side of me, same with enemies and when i shoot at them my bullets wont land cuz they froze and teleported

@YoungSadVic PS4 server lag. It’s all the servers but they won’t admit it.

They keep trying to blame it on WiFi connection issues

@Trkst-er it’s gotta be that, i’ve uninstalled the game multiple times just thinking it was a bug, i thought the update fixing bug issues would help but nothing so far, even rebuilt my ps4 data base and it did nothing

@YoungSadVic Don’t worry it’s them not us.

We aren’t the only two experiencing these issues. I’ve seen multiple reports here on the forum about server lag and each time the Devs reply with check your WiFi

@Trkst-er yeah i posted on reddit like a few weeks ago and i saw that a lot of ppl were also having this issue and no one knew how to repair it

Wireless is very frequently the reason for lag/disconnects. It's not near as stable a connection as using a wire. This is why we always recommend a wired connection.

@EA_Aljo I used a wire and still experienced the same connection issues that I experience on wireless. I said this.

I know wireless isn’t as good so I expected medial lag and server connectivity issues which I was experiencing but after the August 10th update I experience server lag and connection issues in every BR match I play 24/7. There isn’t a time at all when I have good connection

NAT type 3
100 download speed
20 upload speed
60 FPS 20-30 ping
No connectivity symbols on the right side of the screen

@Trkst-er YES you also experienced it after the update, i was so hyped for season 10 and seer and i played the hell out of it when i had free time but after that update my game went bad

I wouldn't recommend NAT Type 3. That's a strict NAT and will cause issues with multiplayer games. Mainly with head to head modes though. If you want to go through some troubleshooting just to be sure there's no issues on your end, let me know.

@EA_Aljo I do not experience any issues on any other multiplayer game

Just BR apex

@EA_Aljo It’s not my WiFi connection because I’ve tested every possible way to make sure it wasn’t my WiFi.

Apex is the only game that acts like this
