@stobehinteresting, question what kind of upgrade was exactly, more cores? clockspeed? I play using a VM so I can at least try adding more cores, the weird part is that the NVIDIA overlay didn't show abnormal CPU usage during the lag spikes either
EDIT: got an update for you all and @stobeh is indeed correct, as I stated before I play using a Windows Virtual Machine, so the CPU is something I can tweak on the fly, I added 2 extra cores to my machine, going from 6 to 8 and the stutter and lag gone away completely, I will conduct more testing as soon as I get more time, maybe trying going back to the old 6 cores and see if it persist but at this point it indeed seems to be the case... though this is far from a fix.
EDIT 2: double confirmed, going back to the 6 cores gets the stuttering back, so our only hope is to upgrade our processor (which is not an option for console) or hopefully a silent fix when the new patch arrives...

Same problems here. Game is stuttering and has become unplayable...
Playing since Season 1 without any problems, but now it is broken...

@DSSMortos Yes, upgraded from 4 Core i3-8350 to 12 Core i7-12700. Nice that this is now confirmed and EA should upgrade CPU requirements
- 3 years ago@stobeh you shouldn't have to . as it's a problem on ps4 also and you can't update ps4 hardware

I have an i9-9900k and I'm getting these stutters. Task manager is not showing any spikes in cpu usage either. It would be excessive if a 9900k is not sufficient for apex...
