Linking my old ps4 Apex account, to my new PC Apex account.

If I link my level 400 Apex Legends ps4 account, to my level 6 Steam Apex Legends account, will progression from my ps4 transfer to my PC, so that I do not lose all of my skins, and progression? I want to play on my new PC, with all of my old skins, and my old level, that is on my PS4 account, so if I link the PlayStation account in the connections tab, will it transfer all of my PlayStation stuff, or will it not transfer over? Even worse, would all of my PlayStation progress be lost by my new Steam account?
