Linux players getting banned
Edit: Looks like they fixed the issue causing the bans. Edit 2: EA is reversing bans and sending out emails letting you know. Yay! Hello, I believe myself and a few others got banned for just playi...
I'm facing the same problem. My system:
Pop!_OS
Steam (Deb)
It happened to me as well, at August 19, saying that I'm cheating, but of course I'm not, I love this game I'm playing since day 0.
I opened a ticket, declined with a generic answer (same as reported in this forum). I opened an other ticket asking them how to share information, they answer the same way.
PC specs :

- Resolution: 4k
- Desktop Env.: KDE
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600
- GPU: AMD 6900
- Memory (total): 16 GB
Steam Launch Options and Compatibility :
- Proton Experimental
@f126b95252f5369bWell, ~90% of the users in here were banned on/after the night of Aug 17th. So, Respawn can probably narrow a lot of stuff down by just looking at what changed before vs. after that date. But the ~10% of people who were banned before that will be tougher to sort out.
@RacsuChile I added more specs to my original reply #213

Thanks
This forum thread was successful in getting people unbanned during march,
which has been a great moment for linux gaming in general.
They finally listend and the community has shown that the ban hammer often gets where it shouldn't. Ironically, it's the casuals and core gamers who are hit the hardest. Unfortunate for me that i've been banned again at the end of may, description here.
I'm receiving declines for 2 months straight and I would really appreciate some sort of positive attention as I'm feeling like nobody cares at all. Back then it happened out of nowhere and I think it needs to be heard as much as everyone else here.
