Low FPS and High ping on Xbox One and PS4 Season 17 Apex Legends

Where did the issue occur? In a match
Which part of the map or menu were you in? If you don't remember the exact name, please describe the area or what you were trying to do in the menu. In highly populated areas with a lot of buildings
What were you doing when the issue occurred? E.g. respawning a squad mate at a beacon, using an ability, a squad mate left the game. Playing like usual

When did this happen? (dd.mm.yy hh:mm) 9.5.23 i..e since launch of season 17
How often does the bug occur? FPS drops 100% of matches, High ping (180ms) 70-80% of matches in contrast to the usual 40ms
How severe is your issue? Unplayable, poses significant disadvantage
What happens when the bug occurs? FPS problems since season 16 but seems to be slightly better in season 17 (averaging around 30 fps in season 16 but an improved 40fps in season 17). However, a new issue around ping being 180ms consistent 80% of the matches has arisen (the other 20% being playable at 40ms).
What should be happening instead? Consistent minimum 50 fps and 40ms like the usual before season 16 and 17.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Play on an Xbox One X
The FPS I feel is slightly better than the terrible fps drops we had for Xbox one and PS4 during season 16 (but can definitely still be improved), but now an even worse issue has come up around the ping where 70-80% of my matches are at 180ms (I don't risk going into rank with the high chance of it being a high ms game). I do know that 20% of the matches are at the normal ping of 40ms, but it doesn't help that I'm playing roulette hoping for the off chance of a 40ms game.
