Mic doesn't work in game chat

My mic hasn't worked on this game since December. I am a console player who has tried everything Xbox and I have recommended doing, yet it still doesn't work in-game chat. It works on other games and...

I am using the turtle beach stealth 700. No, I don't. They work for every other game and in party chat too.

Have you checked to see if there might be a firmware update for the headset? The Turtle Beach website has a tool you can use to update it if you have access to a PC. If you're able to give that a shot can you let me know if it makes any difference?

I just plugged it in and checked, and it says it is up to date. I checked apex just in case, and it still doesn't detect that I have a mic in-game chat. Also, I don't know if this helps. If I am in a party chat with my friends when the screen goes black after you select a legend and loading into the game, it shows my gamer tag with a mic and whoever is playing with me at the party. So it is like the game recognizes that but won't pick up the mic when I am in actual game chat.

    So I just attempted to check this by loading into a game and my mic worked in the legend select screen for the first time in a long time but not in the lobby or in the actual game. I also still couldn't hear anyone else who was talking.
