Hey all.
Just a heads-up, I merged a couple recent threads about this issue together here.
Thanks again for the details you've shared!

I am also experiencing the issue still. Kind of regret trying out the battle pass this season, that is for sure...

@Sweeetss
have u guys redownloading the game ? try that and let me know if that working, cuz last update of Playstation brought this issue - 6 years ago
Thank you for your suggestion but I did that weeks ago.
Just finished redownload and still the same. But I can confirm that if you die and come back to lobby in under 2:30 min i think, you can queue up again with no problem. So it seems over a certain time "locks" the lobby
- 6 years ago
I have this issue since I started playing again in Season 4. The problem occurs very irregular. Sometimes I can play a day where I only have to rejoin my friends lobby 1 or 2 times and sometimes (like today) I have to rejoin after every match. It's infuriating to say the least.
I went through all the troubleshooting guides, resetted my router, changed DNS servers, opened every possible port suggested by EA, nothing helps. - 6 years ago
My issue persists with the new update.
My team died pretty quickly in one match and the game did function properly after we returned to the lobby. I also think there is some of kind of timer lock that is causing the issue but this is all over my pay grade.
- 6 years ago@butchuggin Me and my friends also still experience the issue. I have timed it and if the game/lobby is longer than 2:30 the lobby bugs out. If we land and get wiped before 2 minutes then we can ready up as always

I found a solufion for my issue, it was in the router. We have a omni in our house and for some reason it switched off bridge mode.
So I need to turn on bridge mode on my router? I am still having the issue...
- 5 years ago@butchuggin If you are still having the issue i would suggest trying that. If it does not work i would suggest opening ports on your router, a Quick Google search should give you the list for your specific plattform.
Keep in mind that if you play in a party the fault may be from one of the party members and it will affect the whole lobby. - 5 years ago
Nobody else I play with has the issue. None of my other games are affected and this issue occurred without me changing anything on my internet. Still, I will look into this. Thanks.
- 5 years ago@butchuggin So none of your friends experience this in a party or solo, it is just when you play with them?
Me and my gf had this issue since the start of S5 but a week prior we installed the Omni Mesh routers in our appartment and everything worked fine until S5 launched. We have one friend we exclusivly play with and every lobby with him or duo would mess up the lobby after playing for about 2:30min. Since everything worked prior to S5 i always assumed it was some feature they introduced that messed it up.
Researched my way to some slites about some routers needing to open ports for apex to run properly, i went into the Omni app to open the ports, could not figure out how so i set it to bridge mode and i assumed the main router had the ports open cuz after that everything worked.
Played at my (exclusive)friends house the night before, just me and him and at his place everything went smooth all night.
Sorry for wall of text friend :') - 5 years ago
Nope, I am the only player who experiences the issue. I did experience it solo but, honestly, I haven't played solo in ages. Mine worked fine for S4 and the start of S5. It was just a regular update when the issue started occurring on my end.
I'll be honest, I couldn't figure out how to change bridge mode settings. I talked to a more tech savvy friend and he said bridge mode really shouldn't matter since I am the only one using my internet. I don't have any issues with any other games or my internet in general. If I can find an easy fix, it would be great but I am not really too invested at this point. I'm fine with leaving and re-joining lobbies since I've pretty much stopped playing the game anyway. My friends rarely invite me since I am the only player with issues.
And no worries for the wall of text. Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Happens to me as well on the PS4, ever since season 4 started. None of the mentioned fixes help. It has to be something on their end.
- 5 years ago@V01dPlays Have you tried on a different wifi? As i wrote earlier, my game did not work at home but at my friends house. When he tried at my house We got the same error again
- 5 years ago
I'm late to this thread but this issue has been affecting me for like 2 months now (getting more annoying day by day) nothing seems to help.
- 5 years ago@TimEffinMullins Have you tried on a different ISP?
I tried on my parents internet and it worked. Could be linked to the ISP, but why now? It started happening at the beginning of season 4.
@V01dPlaysIt might be the router settings, if you are using the router provided by your ISP there might be some ports that needs to be opened.
My theory is that they implimented a new function that required a port to be open. My guess is that some routers does not have that open by default.
Here is the ports needs to be open, you could give it a go: https://help.ea.com/en-au/help/faq/opening-tcp-or-udp-ports-for-connection-issues/?product=apex-legends&ajax=1
You could YouTube it also i think! - 5 years ago
@Sweeetssthanks for you'r guidance so far. question though, the ports that the ea sites list to open are
- TCP: 80, 443, 3478, 3479, 3480
UDP: 3478, 3479
I am noticing a video i found on youtube (its older like from early 2019) list a lot of other ports. do you know if these listed are all of them that i would need to open now? did you yourself port forward and potentially use the ones i listed or maybe even more? i am getting very tired of having to back out of my lobby after every match and needing a invite to join my friends lobby (and sometimes that doesnt even work) i just want my dang game to work.
- TCP: 80, 443, 3478, 3479, 3480
- 5 years ago@TimEffinMullins I did not have to port forward anything myself since our main router already had the ports open. But our mesh system was set in router mode and before we got it everything worked perfectly, so after a while i suspected the mesh and was going to open the ports and found out i could set it in bridge.
Im sorry, i dont know what exact ports needs to be opened but i would suggest the ones in EA's guide first, then youtube it if it doesnt work.
I know the frustration, trust me! - 5 years ago@V01dPlays Disconnects how? Like the Disconnect time-out?
