I have come across uncalibrated monitor issues a lot in other games.
Full brightness is not the best setting.
Take some time and calibrate your monitor using this website: http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/
Its much more accurate than default windows calibration.
Once its calibrated properly you may never have to touch brightness settings in games again.
If you are using a cheap AF monitor with poor contrast that you need to increase the brightness then you have my sympathy. 😃
Have you even played the game???
The game cranks the brightness up by itself in fullscreen mode, with no option to fix it.
No offense, but your advice is useless.

There is no way for an ordanary monitor to recieve commands from a PC to change a monitors controls unless the brightness was too high to begin with and the game just utilises the higher ranges that your other game do not.
