No sound

WHAT is going on with this game? Why do developers fail over and over to give us a proper in-game sound, or even just sound options so we can tune out ourselves what we want and do not want to hear in this game? I hear ZEEEEEEEEEEEROOOOO footsteps in this game. At least 1000 times I was killed in the last 30 days because the enemy came so close to me, he could whisper in my ear before he killed me, and I heard zero footsteps.
