one-sided ban for asking a simple question

I've already sent an email protesting a 7 day ban for asking if a user was gay after being repeatedly told to <removed>. Player was highly toxic the whole match, even going so far as to join our club and antagonize teammate and myself for the duration of the match. I'm posting here for visibility, I do not get much time to play as it is and really don't want to wait 6 days for an answer via email on the issue. 

I had reported his behavior and he retaliated with a report of "hateful speech" for asking "so you are gay?" which is not even hateful speech?

    Please be sure you've reported players like that if you hadn't already done so in-game, as their behavior you've described is most certainly inappropriate. 

    If you've already created an appeal here, our Terms of Service team will review that situation and reach back out to you once their investigation is complete.

  • Appreciate the reply, i submitted at least 4 reports based on his verbal comments. Already submitted the appeal, just deeply concerned that they state up to 30 days to resolve an issue that never should have happened to begin with.

    Thanks for making sure that was reported, @InitialFear.

    That will be investigated and we'll make sure the appropriate action is taken, though that's of course not a result we're able to share with anyone other than the account holder.

    As far as your appeal, while it does state it may take up to 30 days, that is highly dependent on how many other cases are in the queue ahead of yours.

    I don't have a more specific ETA available, but it should be substantially faster than that 30 day period currently.
