I am not sure if this is the problem but Windows 8 is like over 10 years old, compatibility mode is not the same as running the required minimum OS.
I suggest updating your OS to Windows 10, this is a listed min requirement.

I don't think they're running Windows 8. They just said they tried using compatability mode to fix the issue.

I have updated my system. I was on Windows 10 Home, now I have Windows 10 Pro. It still does not work.

Okay, so just got word that the team is aware of connection issues and "crashing" issues. They are currently looking into this, so any troubleshooting at the moment will be limited as it is being reviewed.
Once we have information, we will update players and let them know what is happening!

Has there been any updates in regards to this crashing issue.
I decided to come back to the game after a year or so. Have freshly installed the game and updated my graphic drivers to the latest revision after a bout of crashing at startup.
Issue still persists after both fresh install and driver update.
I've checked event viewer and i'm not seeing any errors from the application itself that is warrenting a crash to be seen on the registration page after the EA and creator intro.
Just a heads up Hardware list below :
Asus ROG RTX4090 - Driver version GeForce Game Ready Driver 560.81
Intel I9 13900K
Asus ROG Z790 HERO motherboard
OS Windows 10 - 22H2
