"PLAYER" Bug When Playing With Friends
So this issue has been going on since I've started playing Apex years ago.
Every hour or so, after a match my squadmates will disappear from the lobby and all I see is "Player" above my champion instead of my name.
When my squadmates invite me into the lobby, they can see my champion but I can not see them, when I click READY it does not work for me but they see me as READY but if they also click READY nothing happens.
The only solution to this issue that I found is restarting my Modem completely.
I play over WiFi and have a Deco M5 mesh network set up with only 2.4ghz network enabled (I turned of the 5ghz network due to some suggestions after researching this issue), I also have tried hard-wiring my PC directly to the modem (Fios G1100 Gateway) without any luck, about an hour into game I get same issue and have to reboot the mode to resolve it.
Things that I have tried:
- Assigned Static IP to my PC
- Assigned DMZ for my PC's reserved IP
- Configured DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
I am truly at a loss here. My connection is stable, I never lose internet besides occasional ISP issues due to maintenance every few months.
I am a huge fan of the game and have spent countless hours playing it, but being forced to reboot my modem every hour or so is not a viable solution.
Please, if you have any advice or ideas, HELP.
