Poor performance

After the last Apex Legends update which came with season 15 my game has started performing very poorly. There are fps drops when I look at certain parts of the map, which has never happened before. The refresh rate also feels locked to lower than my usual 240hz. I have been able to run my game for several seasons without any problems locked at a constant 220fps with minimal frame time and no problems. No other games I run on my rig have any performance losses it is only apex. I have tried most of the obvious troubleshooting, went through NVIDIA settings etc. Nothing makes the game run smoothly anymore. I am wondering if more people on this platform are having similar experiences with the recent updates or if it is only on my part.

CPU : i7-12700k

GPU : RTX 3070

RAM : 32Gb 3600mhz

    I have almost the same specs and very good performance after some tweaking. Only the connection to the servers (EU) is very bad, especially compared to other games - every other game runs just perfectly with a great and stable connection. Got stable 240fps and around 30ms in Apex but kind of micro lags/stutterers that change from game to game. It sometimes feels better when playing on far servers like New York (100ms+).
