PS4 - No voice chat for months
I have not been able to hear my teammates or myself on voice chat for months, since around the time cross-platform play was introduced. Apex is the only game I play, and I play it daily, so this is really driving me insane. Someone please help.
- I'm on PS4, plugged into my cable modem/router via ethernet.
- I can see the mic icon next to teammates' names flashing.
- When I turn on the 'convert incoming voice into text' setting, it works for a few seconds and I can see what my teammates are saying, then the text stops appearing.
- When I use the text to speech feature, I can see the microphone icon next to my name flash, but I cannot hear myself.
I have tried:
- Confirmed that voice chat is not disabled.
- Turned off ps4 and turned it back on.
- Uninstalled Apex and reinstalled.
- Switched PS4 users.
- Turned on port forwarding for the multiple port ranges mentioned in EA help.
- Disabled router firewall.
- Prayed to any and all gods.
