PS4 Controller Sprint/Movement Issues

When pressing L3 to sprint forwards the game immediately cancels my sprint the majority of the time. The only way to prevent this is to press down very hard on L3. I believed it was an issue with my controller until I purchased a new controller and the same issue still occurred. This is a game breaking. It’s unbearable and unplayable. I can’t move fluidly, I can’t slide quickly, I can’t even casually sprint. It’s very frustrating. An auto-sprint isn’t necessarily the answer. I’ve played first person shooters for several years now and I’ve never had this issue. Could it be a connection issue? I’m surprised by the amount of people who have decided to ignore this issue and risk damaging their controllers and thumbs. This is 100% an Apex Legends issue. I use a standard PS4 controller.

  • This movement issue also causes problems when dropping (especially hot dropping) and maintaining speed at the beginning of the game. The game is also extremely laggy at the start of matches. Why do I have to pick up an item 2 or 3 times before it actually goes into my inventory? It’s a miracle if the game allows me to sprint AND allows me to pick up items on the first try. That shouldn’t be a mircale... I should be able to do both of those things consistently in every match
