My Account Reset to Level 1

Hi,EA

After two years of preparing for exams,I find my account reset to level 1,all in-game currency, skins, and other items wiped clean—though my achievements still show on the Steam login interface.

I sincerely hope EA can help me recover the progress of the game.

Midnight9746 I don't remember unlinking the two accounts. When I logged back into Apex, I wasn't prompted to log into my EA account – does that mean they are still linked?

Also, when I checked my EA account's game library, Apex Legends is listed there, but strangely, the playtime is showing as blank (zero hours), and none of my achievements are unlocked. Is this helpful information?

    What should I try next?

ToughOyster To my understanding, that's correct, it should mean that both accounts are still linked, (although it will do the same thing if the platform account was somehow linked to another EA Account at some point as well).

If you had only played the game through Steam, then there won't be anything to display through the EA App as it is a different platform.

For me, I had played the game on each platform, so I see different playtimes, (one for each platform I had played on):

    EA AppSteam

I've also had to redo the achievements as well, (besides a few, (such as the one requiring me to be level 50, which was automatically unlocked due to my account's level)):

If its not an issue caused by unlinking a platform account, then its possible that it was an issue involving Cross-Progression as that was being rolled out to players from October 2023 to around April 2024. (Which I believe you had to had logged in during a set time period to have your account included in the Cross-Progression merge, and I know that if one of your accounts had been banned at any point, its Apex progress and data was excluded from the Cross-Progression merge).

EA Help | Apex Legends™ Cross Progression

If your account had undergone a Cross-Progression merge already, you can try signing into your EA Account and double checking your connected platform accounts to see if the correct platform accounts are linked to it:

    > My EA Account | Sign In
My EA Account | Connected Accounts

Sadly with this kind of issue as well, if the Apex progress and data was lost due to a platform account being unlinked, (and it wasn't restored when you relinked the account), then it unfortunately becomes lost.

Thank you so much for the detailed explanation! At least I've confirmed that I only use Steam and have logged into the correct EA account. Now I suspect my account might have been banned at some point. Shortly after I stopped playing, I came across some abnormal stats on a third-party site – like an impossibly high kill count I could never achieve. I'm certain I didn't log in during that period, so I'm worried my account was hacked.

Is there any way to check if my account was actually banned? And if it was... would it still be possible to recover it? I truly appreciate your help!

ToughOyster For recovering a hacked account, you would need to contact EA Support.

    > EA Help | What to do if your EA Account has been hacked

If you had already recovered your hacked account, you would then need to contact the EA TOS Team to appeal the ban.

    > Get information about EA Account locks, bans, and suspensions

You can also check your ban history here, (however, do know that some bans may not be listed).

    > EA Help | My Ban History

Note: If your Apex progress and data was lost due to your account being banned, there sadly is no way to recover it.

I've checked – there's no ban record. Now I'm really at a loss... Is there any chance at all to recover my account? Thanks for sticking with me on this
