5 years agoYou may just need to vacuum the dust and dirt out of the console vents while it is powered off.
Blocked vents is the number one reason for console overheating. Thanks.
- 5 years ago@EA_Barry sorry that’s not what I meant, ‘Overheating’ probably wasn’t the best word, I meant it feels like it’s going to overheat because of the noise. My console is new. Silent in the main menu, silent in character selection, silent in game, silent in shooting practice, unnecessarily loud in the menu before queuing up. I’m just in the menu, not touching my controller, nothing, and it’s loud.

My only solution was to take the top off my original PS4 and put a small house fan on top facing down blowing air onto the board directly. It still sounds like it's going to do something very bad, but it hasn't melted the fan yet.. so that's good.
