PS5 Controller not working on PC Origins. It works and then stops.

Hey so I play pc apex legends through Origin and I’ve always used my PS4 controller with no issue. But sadly it has unbearable drift so I bought a ps5 controller. It would work perfectly but out of nowhere each time my controller bugs put and apex reads it as an Xbox controller and stop responding to the ps5 controller. I have to unplug and plug it in again for it to work. No clue what to do.

I tried DS4 but it ended up doing the same thing plus crashing my pc and giving my PC a blue screen so I’m not doing that anymore. Is there anyway to fix this at all? Or maybe apex Origins doesn’t support the ps5 controller fully yet? Because when it does work, it seems to work really well and it felt great to use. Of course until it stopped responding. What should I do? My origin & game are both updated.
