r5apex.exe never exits and cannot be killed

Since you might think it's EAC, have you already tried repairing EAC to see if that resolves it?

This issue has present itself a few years back, currently I'm seeing other games being affected by this like DbD

Seems like this has to be reverted, hopefully we get an update on this soon.

@XHelperZ I tried EasyAntiCheat_Setup laucnhing this from apex folder and repair it but no luck, same * , so I assume we need to wait for hotfix or something

I got same problem with you. CPU core 1 100% runing after play 5-10mins. then I can not close the game in the backstage. In the same time, CPU CORE 1 still runing @100%.
After 30mins later it closed by itself. then, everything goes right.
